2008 Jaguar XJ Super V8

We have a very special car this week on Wheel Talk Coast to Coast: the world class 2008 Jaguar XJ Super V8, which has style, power and the ability to steal the scene in any parking lot.

The XJ Super V8 is Jaguar’s top-of-the-line touring sedan and truly defines luxury in all departments.

I have to tell you: every detail of this Jag is remarkable from the dramatic classic looks of the all-aluminum body to the purr of the supercharged 400 horsepower 4.2-liter engine.

The new 2008 Jaguar XJ’s powerful supercharged, intercooled v-8 is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The speed sensitive steering, dynamic stability control and self-leveling and adaptive air-suspension make the Jag Super V8 a joy to drive.

The XJ Super V8’s interior is all hand-built displaying a heritage of craftsmanship and all you’d expect from a luxury car: the 16-way adjustable seat with 3-stage heating and cooling seats are made of premium soft-grain leather with custom raised-piping.

The interior elegance continues with dash and door-trim made of real-burl walnut and in-dash DVD navigation, headrest inlaid video screens, and Alpine AM/FM/CD 320-watt audio system.

The exterior of the Jaguar XJ Super V8 reflects the refinements of Jaguar’s traditional design.

The distinctive front grill with chrome cross hatching and huge air-dam make this luxury 4-door sedan look bold while still nimble and elegant.

The estimated miles-per-gallon for the Jag XJ Super V8 is 15 in the highway and 22 on the highway.

Our test vehicle came with a suggestive retail price of $94,750.

With 400 supercharged horsepower, the 2008 Jaguar XJ Super V8 is truly a joy to drive whether you’re taking the kids to school or headed down a long-curvy country road.

But, let’s face it: a car like this is best experienced on roads where you can put, not only the 400 horsepower to work, but the speed sensitive steering, dynamic stability control and adaptive air-suspension as well!
